Latest: Saturday 3 February, 10.05pm:

This year again, I’m pleased to say we have had a full house with 192 starters.
Please note that we have begun putting the games from the Open section on the website. My thanks to Raj Panicker, a new member of our team, for setting this up and entering the games aleady up on the site.
We are also publishing results and pairings on the UTU Swiss Results Service. NB. Please note that the pairings you may find there overnight for Round 4 on Sunday morning are provisional; they will inevitably need to be changed if there are more withdrawals before play re-starts on Sunday morning at 9.30.

Latest news (Thursday 1 February, 9.55pm)

Following further withdrawals, seven places have now been filled from the waiting list. There is currently one person still on the waiting list for a place.

Tournament full. Withdrawals may still make further places available.

Yesterday we reached the maximum number of entries we can accommodate at the venue for next weekend’s tournament. I have therefore removed the original online entry form. However, since it is to be expected that there will be some withdrawals before the weekend, it may still be possible to secure a place in the tournament, though there is no guarantee of a place and we shall not be accepting entries on the day. If you still wish to enter, you may submit an entry via the revised online form and pay your entry fee via PayPal, in the hope of a place becoming available. Your name will be placed on a waiting list, and in case of withdrawals the next person from the list will be given the place that has become available. Naturally, if a place does not become available for anyone who submits an entry in this way, their entry fee will be refunded. For full details, see the page ‘Waiting List Arrangements and Conditions’ under the ‘Kidlington 2018’ tab on this website.
Local players who wish to be put on the waiting list may, if they prefer, deliver an entry form to my house with their entry fee. They will then be added to the list. My address is on the Kidlington entry form.
